Basketball

Today we had our first homeschool group basketball practice. It was a blast!! :) I had a lot of fun. I can't wait until our game on Jan 7.

I'm getting sick of snow... Oh well.

Monday, December 19, 2011

Oh wow.

Man, have I been busy lately. Sorry. Been buildin' fence and moving calves and trudging around in the miserable snow. And trying to keep up on schoolwork the entire time. But once Christmas break comes around (even though it's smaller than the school's break) I should be able to post more.

Recently we went to a homeschool group Christmas party and it was SO much fun. We made cookies (well I didn't. I just ate them. lol) and played games and watched a movie in 3D bluray!! :) It was a ball. Then we have a youth group Christmas party on Wednesday.

Hope you're all doin' great and Merry CHRISTmas!!! :)

Test Baby ~ My All Time Favorite Commercial

2 Timothy 1:9-10

9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

More Kit-Kat pics!

Sorry it's blurry. She was chasing me and finally caught me. haha That was Kailey's dress when she was little. Or maybe it went to one of her dolls. I'm not sure. :)

She's just so cute. :) Who agrees?

Christmas Pictures!!! :)

Here we are. These of course took forever to take. And even longer to decide which one to use. Sometime I'm gonna have to post all our bloopers. :) Of course I don't have any. I always look nice and respectable. :) haha Just kidding. :) And for those of you who don't know us (or just forget who is who) from left to right is Mom, Ryder, Ronan, Rhett, Rayden, Reid, Kailey, me, and Dad. :) For our ages and all that good stuff check out my Family page.

And here are just the kids. As you can see Ryder was in a wonderful mood. ;)

Habakkuk 1:13

Your eyes are too pure to look on evil;
you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.
Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?
Why are you silent while the wicked
swallow up those more righteous than themselves?

More Snow

Wow I'm getting tired of it already. It's so cold! It's supposed to be cold for quite a few days now. Below freezing most days. Brrrrrr. But our summers arent too hot so I guess that's what we get.

Kit-Kat's doin' pretty good. Growin' like a weed. I'm not sure how well she likes the snow. Not too well I'm guessing since she always want to come inside. But she can sit and is learning to play fetch. The hard part is getting her to bring the ball back all the way. But once she wants it thrown again and not just a treat I'm sure she won't have  problem with that.

How are all of you guys doin'? What have you been up to?

Snow... Finally!

Meet Mr.Smiley. :) haha he didnt have a very long life.

Here's Jessie and Kit-Kat. Kit-Kat loves to play and Jessie is the only other dog that will put up with a puppy.

Kit-Kat is so energetic. And fast! You can't imagine how fast she is until she chases you. Its scarey. If ony I coulda run that fast at almost 3 months old. :)

Kinda blurry.... Sorry all. But this is Reid rolling Mr.Smiley's middle section. We had a lot of fun that day for the few minutes we had. But I'm sure it will snow again soon enough.

My new pickup truck!

Here we are. A little beat up, well, a lot beat up, but it runs good and I love it! :)

haha This guy beat the tar outta this thing. There isnt a straight panel on it. But hey, if i dent it, no one will notice. ;) lol Sorry it took so long to get these pics up. I've had all kinds of trouble.

Above is a link a friend sent me. It is a BLAST! :) Try it!

More blah blah blah

So preg checking went well. We got about 1/3 of our cows done and branded too. It took awhile. But we got them done so i feel better now. :)

We also had out fall bull yesterday. It went pretty well although the drought in Texas and Oklahoma might have affected it a little bit. We had a postsale meeting i got to go to and the food was great! :) i love steak!

And on saturday we had an auction. It was a lot of fun. We sold some farm equipment, household items, and some old tractors. I guess old tractors are farm equipment, arent they? :) We also had a few pickups for sale and i bought one! :) Yay! I'll post some pics and details later Lord willing. :)

Blah blah blah

All the snow has melted. Actually, it melted later on in the day it snowed. I dont think it liked us very much. Which is fine with me.

Right now we're on the way to go work cows. We're goin' to preg-check them and see how far along their baby calves are. It's kinda like a sonagram... But not. Dont ask how its done cuz you dont wanna know. Lol :)

Proverbs 30:18-19

There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

Hey!

Please comment everyone. I love to hear from you! :)

Piranha

Kit-Kat has turned over a new leaf in her life. Now she bites and chews anything and everything she can get her greedy lil' paws on. And it hurts. It is very painful. I dont know how im going to survive. Maybe cuz she's so cute. Its hard to be mad at her even when she bites. But we have given her the nickname piranha. :)

John 13:3-15

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Kit-Kat Pics!! :)

So here she is. Adorable, no? :) Funny thing is she would rather sleep on the floor than on my lap. But right now she is half on her bed and half on the floor.

I think this one is funny. She's tied to the office chair because that's where I was working on my schoolwork. She doesnt really like that all the time. But anything within her reach is chewed up or at least an attempt to chew it to bits is made. Which is not good for all the kids toys left on the floor. hehehe :)

I think she's so cute! But, boy, she knows how to push my buttons!

Now she's all the way out of bed. :) And was at my feet but I had to leave her to get the camera. Sorry it took so long to get these pics up here. We've been really, really busy. And I've been exausted from getting up at 2 AM to take her outside. Puppies are cute, but if they are inside dogs they are a LOT of work.

Just got done working calves! :)

Today we just finished working 110 calves. We did 160 head on Monday. We're weaning them to. So what we do is first get the fourwheelers and get them all in the pen. That can take a little while. Then we sort the cows from the calves. The cows go out of the pen into the pasture and the calves stay inside the pen and are worked. To work them we run them up into the shute. Then we weigh them. Some will need new tags, all will need tatooed (in the ear. That way if the tag falls out we still know what number they are.), and we pour them with some pour on liquid. Im not sure why. Ill have to ask about that. :) And they all get vaccinated as well. Then the calves get out on one side of the fence and the cows on the other so the calves cant nurse. Then before long they're weaned! :)

Ecclesiastes 12:13

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

More Kit-Kat!! :D

These are Kit-Kat's 5 week old pictures. I think she is SO cute!! Who agrees?! :)

So we just arranged for Kit-Kat to come home with a friend of ours on the 19th and I am SO excited!! We went to walmart and orchelyns farm and home and I got her a ton of treats and toys and I even found a CAMO dog bed on sale!! :D She might be a little bit spoiled... But hey she's gonna be special so she can be a bit spoiled. She won't get away with disobeying though so she won't be spoiled rotten. :)

My new puppy..... Kit-Kat!!! :D

Kit-Kat is a chocolate border collie that was born in Texas at the Wolter Ranch (http://www.wolterranch.com/). She is about 5 weeks old right now and I can pick her up when she is 6 weeks. Her birthday is the 4th of September.

She looks black now but she will be a chocolate color when she matures. Also, I should be getting new pictures of her tomorrow hopefully. :D

These pictures of her where taken when she was 1 weeks old. These two I've edited with a Ipad app called My Sketch. It's awesome!!

Ohh! I just can't wait! She'll be able to come home the 19th, although we might not get down there until afterward sometime. But I am very excited!! :D

*I apologize that the pictures are so small. That's the only size I could ge them in without being blurry beyond belief.*

Okay!! :)

So I'll keep updating RanchTeen. :) Email me please with any advice you may have! :)

Check out this info on Steven Curtis Chapman. He has an amazing story. It is so very sad though. Well, I love his music and I HIGHLY encourage you to spend a few bucks and buy a few of his songs on iTunes. Blah Blah Blah.....

Hey everyone. I'm really bored so I've come here to ramble. All you dedicated followers don't have to read all this if you don't want to. ;)

School. I love school. Well, some of it. I won't be starting for another two weeks or so, but I wish I could start right now. Summer is fun, but it is also extremely boring. And hot. I don't like hot. But i guess it's way better than snow. I only like snow on christmas and the wet snows in the beggining of the year. I dont like the dry snow that doesn't make very good snowballs. But anyway, I can't wait til school starts. I am SO looking forward to Spanish class. And physical science. But I'm dreading grammar and writing with a passion. I hate grammar and writing. Plus I stink at it. If I pass the class with a B I'll be happy, although I'd like to get all A's this year. By the way, I'm going into 9th grade. I'll be in Algebra 1 for math. I'm okay with that. I do't really like math a whole lot, but it's way better than english or grammar or writing or language arts or whatever you wanna call it.

Well, I better go find somethin' to do. Bye!!! :)

I love my Attorney

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the end..

The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what I thought to be a court house.

The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table.

As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.'

He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.

I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew Him.

The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing robes.

He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I couldn't take my eyes off of Him.

As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'

The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan and I am here to show you why this man belongs in hell.'

He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank.

I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney, as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about.

As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all.

I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?

Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise.'

When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and beckoned Him to come forward.

As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full splendor and majesty.

I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.

He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'HI, DAD,' and then He turned to address the court.

'Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and this man deserves to be punished.'

Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.'

My Lord continued with, 'His name is written in the Book of Life, and no one can snatch him from Me.

'Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.'

As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said, 'There is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all.'

The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following words bellowed from His lips.....

'This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full. Case dismissed.'

As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, 'I won't give up, I will win the next one.'

I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'

Christ lovingly smiled and said, 'Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me to represent them has received the same verdict as you, ~Paid In Full.'

Pass this on to anyone you consider a friend and God will bless you both.

Stop telling God how big your storm is.

Instead, tell the storm how big your God is!

Won't You Be My Love -- MercyMe

Hey everybody! How are you all doin'? Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been really busy helping Dad with cows and all kinds of stuff. Also, it takes forever to get this computer to warm up, and when it does it also takes forever to get Mom's 1 million pictures loaded. She wants them one her computer too but hers takes forever to warm up too so I just keep putting it off. But once homeschool starts we'll be using the computers every day so they will warm up easier and it wont take so long to publish a post. So anyway, the picture above is of my grandpa and i just sorta messed it up. I think it looks cool. lol :) God bless!

The Bottle of Wine

For all of us who are married, were married, wish you were married, or wish
you weren't married, this is something to smile about the next time you see
a bottle of wine.

Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in northern Arizona
when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road.

As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the
Navajo woman if she would like a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with
the Navajo woman. The old Woman just sat silently, looking intently at
everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a brown
bag on the seat next to Sally.

'What in bag?' asked the old woman.

Sally looked down at the brown bag and said,
'It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband.'

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the
quiet wisdom of an elder, she said:

'Good trade.'

HILARIOUS!!

The Riddle (can you get it right ?)

If this were NASA, it would be "" HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM."

  >>          Barack Obama met with the Queen of England.
>>
>>            He asked her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient
government?
>>            Are there any tips you can give to me?"
>>
>>            "Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to
surround yourself
>>            with intelligent people."
>>
>>            Obama frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know the people
around me  are really intelligent?"
>>
>>            The Queen took a sip of tea. "Oh, that's easy; you just ask
them to answer
>>            an intelligent riddle."
>>
>>            The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please send Tony
Blair in
>>            here, would you?"
>>
>>            Tony Blair walked into the room and said, "Yes, Your
Majesty?"
>>
>>            The Queen smiled and said, "Answer me this please, Tony, your
mother and
>>            father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not
your sister
>>            Who is it?"
>>
>>            Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answered, "That
would be me."
>>
>>            "Yes! Very good," said the Queen.
>>
>>            Obama went back home to ask Joe Biden , his vice presidential
choice the
>>            same question. "Joe, answer this for me. Your mother and your
father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is
it?"
>>
>>            "I'm not sure," said Biden "Let me get back to you on that
one...."
>>
>>            He went to his advisors and asked every one, but none could
give him an answer.
>>
>>            Finally, he ran into Sarah Palin out eating one night. Biden
asked,
>>            "Sarah, can you answer this for me? Your mother and father
have a child and it's not your brother or your sister.
>>            Who is it?"
>>
>>            Sarah Palin answered back, "That's easy, it's me!"
>>
>>            Biden smiled, and said, "Thanks!" Then, he went back to speak
with Obama.
>>
>>            "Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that
riddle. It's Sarah Palin!"
>>
>>            Obama got up, stomped over to Biden, and angrily yelled into
his face,
>>            "No! You idiot! It's Tony Blair!"
>>
>>            .AND THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OUR FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT IN WASHINGTON , D.C

Norm Wakefield

Well, we're at a homeschool conference in Denver, CO, and I really liked this message. I'm not sure how many of my followers homeschool, but I think we can all profit from what he says. Most of it at least. Tell me what you think!

Norm Wakefield - Reality Check: It ain't about you!

Philippians -all of 1,2, & 3!-   >Phil. 2:29&30<

Reality Check! It's all about Jesus! It's not about you!

When people argue, one or more of them have the mindset that this is about me.

Is Christ rippling through us? is God working in you?Philippians 2:1 if He is, you will have experienced these things.

Phil. 1:27 only means only! We should do everything with a focus of Christ. The purpose homeschooling should be Jesus Christ.

The one purpose of the church is to glorify Jesus Christ.

There is a beast in you that wants to control your life. To be selfish. To be God. Don't let him! We will never live in a manner worthy of the gospel if we are living for ourselves.

If homeschooling is about us, we will not reach out to a lost and dying world. satan knows that. So he tryes to distract us. Phil. 2:3

We need to wake up and think, how can I help my mom? My siblings. My dad. My family. We need to be servants like Jesus was.

**The Antichrist is a beast within us that wants to control our lives.**

**The mark of the beast isnt a real physical mark. It's evils working in you to contol your thought and actions. You think in your head and act with your hands.** Then how are we not allowed to buy and sell??

Jesus was consumed with Gods interests:
1. He emptied himself.
2. He humbled Himself to serve.
3. He willingly bore our sins.

The gospel mindset:
1. Empty yourself.
2. Humble Self to serve.
3. Willingly bear the sins of others. *7x70*

Timothys example. Philippians 2:19-22
Teens- If you're not living for the interests of your mom and dad, it's just religious talk. Wake up!

Living in a manner worthy of the gospel is how to know Jesus. Living in a manner worthy of the gospel results in life!

If you are a real Christian, you want people to see Christ rippling though you.You want them to see the gospel inside of you.

Reality Check!
1. Do you realize the power of your life?
2. Are you a participant in the gospel?
3. Are you living worthy of the gospel? Phil. 1:27
4. Have you realized that living for self is anti-Christ?
5. Do you have a gospel mindset?
6. Are you obeying the gospel?
7. Will you be an example?

The UN-gospel mindset:
Self-preservation
Self-ambition
Self-actualization
Self-significance
Self-acceptance
Self-protection

Put your iTouches on silent! Lol! :D

** I'm not sure I agree with this, but he said it.

HeyHey and Baby Ryder

Hey, Guys! Sorry I haven't been posting near as much as I should. I've been really busy working for my grandmother. She is a fireworks distributor and needs some help pricing, packing, and carrying boxes. I also help my dad with our cows, and I do chores for the Goat Lady when she is gone. Point being, I've been really busy and I will try to post more often. Thanks all! :)

I admit, this is a absolutely horrible picture because I had to take it on my phone. I have a touch screen one that calls people when you put it in your pocket. I want a new slide keyboard or maybe a phone with a folding keyboard. But not a touch! I digress. Anyway, I just thought this picture was so cute I had to show it to you. That's a balloon in his shirt and I did that at church this Sunday. Hehehehe!! ;)

Baby Ducks, Turkeys, and Chicks

So the other day Kailey got an order of chicks in the mail. Amazingly, every one of them survived the trip. We usually lose on or two. :( But not this time. As you can see, Ronan is petting one of the duckies.

The ducks were on one side of the box, and the turkeys and chicks were on the other. The big yellow ones are turkeys and the little grayish ones are chicks.

Well, since the shower in our basement doesn't work, that's where we put them. :) They get along quite nicely down there and don't bother Mom much.

The turkeys were curious little things. One even tried to peck the camera. Bad boy! (Well, I think it's a boy.)

I don't know what kind of duck this is, but it's cute. I really like his speckles. :)

And there is a black duck keeping watch on the food tray. He sees a turkey invader and prepares to fight. :)

And here we have a bantam frizzle chick. I think that's what he is anyway. Bantam means he's like a mini. I think he looks very determined. For what I'm not sure. But still. LOL :)

>:( *my angry face*

Guys, look at this. This is ridiculous. Someone needs to do something. How can we allow this?!?

How can I even consider buying that candy bar when I could give the money to help free these people? Who cares about a $130 ipod? How is that ipod gonna help me in eternity? Why not help set these poor kids and women free? Why not help tell them about Jesus? They could burn in hell forever because I wanted that ipod instead of helping them. Where did I learn to be so selfish? :( I believe that when we ask God how He could allow this, He asks us the same thing.

First Love

A friend of mine wrote this and I just thought it was pretty cool. :)

I thought my daddy was my first love,
He always seemed so tall,
But when I followed in his steps I always took a fall.

Years came and years passed,
The good times never seemed to last,
I met a boy who stole my heart,
He promised that we'd never part,
but once again love let me down,
But it was on God I started to frown.

Then Jesus took my hand,
Showed me to another land,
A place of love and endless grace,
Though I haven't seen His loving face,
Or touched the hands that took my place,
I know I'll never be alone,
And can't wait to bow to Him at His throne.

Mice and Ryder

So when we were weedin' in the garden we stumbled upon this mouse nest. We accidentally broke it and mice ran everywhere. Poor things were scared to death.

This is one of three baby mice we captured and put in a five gallon bucket. It was kinda dirty from hauling fertilizer (not from the store LOL) but the mice didn't mind.

Here is Reid, Kwi (Kailey), and Ronan inspecting their captives.

Kwi was holding one baby mouse right before we let them go. As you can see, she still has her WaTiki bands on. :) She let Ronan and Rayden pet the mouse before she let it go, but I didn't get any good pics.

There he is. Crawling back to freedom. Their mom didn't go very far, so we hope she came back for them. We didn't even see their nest until it was too late. Poor things. :(

Here is Ryder standing in Mom's flowerbed. It's kinda not working real well because the plants won't grow. But me an' Ryder are okay with that. ;) He was sitting on that rock and looking so cute.

And here is Ryder again. Yes, our playhouse is broken in half (it wasn't my fault!) but we don't use it much anyway. Ryder is the only one that has fun with it. I just had to post this because of his little face. :)

Button

Hey guys! I just want to thank Farm Kid for helping me get my button and setting up some stuff for me. If you want my button, just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the correct button. :)

Clouds and Kids

So a few days ago we went over to Nana and Papa's house. They live about 35 miles away from our place. On the way I saw these clouds and thought it would make a great picture. I think it turned out well.

And on the way I took this picture of Reid. His head sort of looks like a bubble, no? I was using the Fish Bowl effect. ;)

And here is Ronan, refusing to let me take  picture of him. Well, I did. :)

On the Way Home

Well, we were on our way out of Rapid City, South Dakota, when we found this house. It's not a great picture at all but I jus' had to show it to you anyway. :)

We took a side road that was really, really pretty. The views were awesome. Along the way we found this gift shop and decided to go in real quick. They had all kinds of cool dinosaur stuff and fossils. I found the coolest pocket knife in there. I just HAD to have it! It is camo and it has a black blade. I perfer pocket knives with thumb tabs, but this one is cool enough without it.

Somewhere along the way home we drove by this pasture that had experienced a fire not too long ago. I thought it was cool. Also notice the natural rock tower up there.

Here I was messing around with Mom's camera again. This was the Toy Camera effect.

Rayden didn't really want this to go up on the blog, but he never said it couldn't. This is the Fish Bowl effect. :D

And it was raining on the way home. I thought this one look pretty neat.

I really love this one. Toy Camera effect with a road, house, traffic sign, and clouds. What could be better?

We stopped in Nebraska to go to Cabela's but they were already closed because it was Sunday. I was okay with it cause I was sick and didn't want to roam around in there for hours feelin' queasy. So we went to a nearby lake (in the city still) and fed these ducks some bread. I was using Super Vivid here. :)

And there were some baby geese too! They had a little peninsula thing and there was a whole flock of geese out there. Again, I was on Super Vivid. LOL

And here is one more Super Vivid of the ducks. I think this one is pretty awesome too. :)
